It covers defects in materials and workmanship, but not scratches, accidental damage, normal wear, or products bought from unauthorized sellers. Replace your helmet after any significant impact, even without visible damage. The foam inside compresses on impact and won't protect the same way twice. Beyond crashes, most manufacturers recommend replacing helmets every three to five years due to normal wear and material degradation.
