Nice sound . My only issue is moving to back tracks via 3 taps is quite erratic often failing or moving to the next forward tact . Two taps however works quite well moving the tracks forward .

Quality and ease of control 👍

These Smith x Alec’s Nunchucks seem to do the job, but I have not actually tried them out for skiing and the instructions need a bit of work. It took me a while to get the speakers to pair with my iPhone.

Speaker is nice. Functionality with the buttons is good too. Can’t be 5/5 without native Siri integration.

Love the Aleck Nunchucks for communication while on the mountain and in the backcountry. Fitted for my Smith helmet makes it an see easy integration.

I bought these as a replacement for a “lost” Pair of a competitors speakers. Right away you could tell the difference. They feel better, shape and weight wise. They connect incredibly easily and the sound, wow! The sound is insane! So much much clearer than the others. The buttons are very user friendly and work well with gloves or mittens. I used them for a week of riding in Utah, only charged them because I remembered to bring my helmet in on the coldest night. Batteries are solid, they lasted longer than my old set. They are thinner by design and don’t cause your ear pads to push uncomfortably against your ears. I found my old set when I got home from my trip…. I gave them to a friend. I’ll be buying these for the family and replacing their OM & WH sets…😎👍🏽. Worth the purchase, most definitely.

Great headphones for sound quality. Ease of use for gloved users, simple push button with haptic feedback. Easy to install into my smith helmet though I haven't been able to use the comm feature yet (no friends) so I can't comment there. Only downside is the shape of it lends to a denser packdown on the ears and I have been getting fatigued behind the ear from the compression.

These fit easily and perfectly in my Smith Vantage helmet and VERY conveniently, the charging plug on them is at the zipper end of the helmet ear covers. Don’t underestimate how important that is. Easy to start and pause music with a gloved thumb press. And the sound is very good as well.

Easy to use, Makes life easier and safer. Battery last forever. I hope they make one with the same characteristics and quality but smaller.

I recently purchased the new helmet visor combo. I rode it in variable conditions including a big powder day. I have sinus issues and was looking for a solution to have less pressure from goggles on my face. The that manor the product worked great. The only challenges i had were on a big powder day. Due to the goggles not connecting securely to the face it had a tendency to get more snow that i would like. It did clear out easily. In less powdery conditions they worked great. I like the product but will probably return to my normal set up on big snow days.

Sound is great

Bought these for my boys after one of them listed "Nunchucks" on his secret santa list. Thankfully I knew he had something from Smith so I went right to their website. What a pleasant surprise at how quick and easy it was to find what he'd asked for, signup for newsletters and receive a discount code for something already on sale. The whole experience was wonderful and my boys love their Nunchucks. Great company, Great product, Great price. Keep up the good work

Good sound and the group talk feature is great for families!

Shane R

The nunchucks fit nicely around my ears and sound quality is great!

Skiing with my younger shredder daughters on groomers and now pow with some background tunes has been awesome. Even an occasional biz call with great reception. They should been every helmet..

These headphones are a great product. Good quality music from my Apple Music playlists. I didn’t expect to like the telephone feature was much as I do. So easy to make calls via Siri when meeting up on the hill.

Luuk S

This helmet is comfortable. The padding in the ear pads makes them comfortable with or without headphones inserted in them. Helmets have MIPS technology which is a must. Overall, you get a great helmet for a great value

Chase

Sound is good, and easy to setup

Leigh A

Sound great. Volume is easy enough to control and battery life is REALLY good. No problems connecting — easy peasy.

Only used them a few times, but so far it's much better than having to deal with corded headphones. Very easy to cycle through music with gloves on and the sound quality is perfect for what I was looking for. You can hear your music while still allowing you to hear around you. Obviously these aren't going to be as good as in ear high end headphones but the convince of these very much outweighs benefits of those. Fits in my Smith helmet perfectly. Haven't tried the comms function yet so can't speak to that.

Eric

The speakers appear to be very sturdy, the buttons are easy to use even when the speakers are in the helmet. USB C is a huge plus. I'm not expecting amazing sound quality for helmet speakers but the sound is good and can get loud enough. Absolutely no connection problem. Unfortunately I've only used them for music as I don't know anyone who owns them to try two way communication. I use them with an older Smith Vantage helmet and I can't feel them.

Joseph V

don't expect thumping base or bose level quality but they get the job done and make on mountain comms super easy and safe.

They rock!

Awesome!

The nunchucks are a great pair with Smith helmets. While it's not made explicitly clear, you'll want to remove the foam inner pad so the headphones fit well and don't put pressure on your ears. The app is certainly lacking and I've been unable to add the device into the app (an obvious bug that doesn't seem to get fixed), but it doesn't affect use of the headphones when connecting to a device and playing music. Love these headphones!

John

Loving the music and voice controls on the nunchucks. I've had different pucks in the past and the voice control function has always been slightly annoying to remember. I'm trying to convince my riding buddies to ditch their other brand pucks so we can use the com unit function like we do on dirtbikes. Great product Smith x Aleck!

Wesley

I’ve been very happy with the nunchucks product. The audio quality isn’t the highest but it’s more than good enough to provide some tunes while you’re skiing. The battery life is great and the Bluetooth connection is strong. No issues with connectivity. The controls are very easy to use. I am very happy with the product.

We had a group of six on the slopes with these over a one-week trip. After the initial learning curve on the first day, they worked well. The learning curve just required everyone to be on the same sheet- correct mode, correct group, unmuted vs muted, etc. I have to admit that at the end of the first day, I thought we had wasted our money. But day two went off without a hitch. Great comms the whole day in party mode and in what we called “breakout groups.” We were at Park City which has good cellular coverage in most areas we used. As long as we had good cell coverage, we had good comms. One of our group members even got into the group from the condo to tell to others on the slopes that he was headed out (finally). One drawback we found is that you’re either talking or listening to music. You can’t do both (or we couldn’t figure out how to accomplish this). Music plays through your phone’s app and comms through the Aleck App. Perhaps, if the Aleck App could also control the music, it could automatically pause to talk like headsets I use with my motorcycle do. But if you enjoy talking with your friends & family while skiing, who really needs music? Being able to communicate will change how you ski with groups. You have to just be patient in the learning phase and figure out how to really make them work.

Colin

So much better fit than others I've had.

I was skiing in very cold weather with my face fully protected with Goggles, baclava, mask,.. I was easily able to make and receive phone calls, and listen to music, without taking my gloves or anything else off. People on the receiving end said the sound was good.
