Is there a junior version of the Rodeo Helmet? 

Yes, the Smith Rodeo Jr MIPS and Rodeo Jr. helmet are built for younger riders and designed to comfortably fit smaller nogans. 

How do I choose the right snow helmet size?

Measure your head circumference about an inch above your eyebrows, then match that number to Smith Optics's size chart. If you're between sizes, try on options at a local retailer. Once your helmet arrives, adjust the dial for a snug fit and the chin strap so you can fit two fingers underneath it, and make sure it sits just above your goggles with no gap between them.

When Should I Replace my Ski & Snowboard Helmet?

Always replace your snow helmet after a crash, even if it looks fine, since absorbing an impact can weaken the materials. Without a crash, we recommend replacing it every 5 years of active use or 10 years from the manufacture date, whichever comes first.

Will Smith Optics Replace a Broken Helmet? 

It depends on why the helmet broke. If it's a manufacturer's defect, Smith Optics helmets are covered for three years from the date of purchase. 

If your helmet was in a crash, stop using it immediately. Smith Optics offers 40% off MSRP on a replacement through its crash replacement program. To qualify, the crash must be activity-related, reported within two years of purchase with proof of purchase, and you'll need to present the damaged helmet along with details of the incident. The program is limited to one replacement per year, applies only to the original owner, and excludes helmet abuse.
