Smith Optics Squad Goggles

Squad Goggles for the Mountain and the Trail

Losing track of a mogul at the edge of your vision, or missing a root on the trail because your goggles cut off your peripheral view, changes how confident you feel on the mountain or on the bike.

Smith Optics Squad goggles use a cylindrical lens shape built to open that view up, whether you're on snow or riding the trail. ChromaPop™ lenses sharpen contrast and color so those details stand out, and a bonus low-light lens keeps you covered when clouds roll in or light goes flat. Select styles add the MAG™ magnetic lens system, so switching tints takes seconds instead of fighting with clips.

FAQs

How do I change lenses on Smith Optics Squad goggles?

To change the lens on standard Squad goggles, unclip the shield lens from the outriggers and nose bridge, then align the new lens by connecting it at the nose bridge first, followed by the bottom and side connection points, before locking the outriggers back into place. If you have the Squad MAG version, the process is simpler: release the levers on each side, lift the lens out, and snap the new one in, guided into place by magnets.

Do Smith Optics Squad goggles come with two lenses?

Yes, Smith Optics Squad goggles come with two lenses. You get a bright light lens and a bonus low light lens, so you're set up for both sunny and overcast days without buying a second lens separately. One exception: Pro Photochromic styles only include one lens, since the photochromic tint already adjusts across a range of light on its own.

What's the difference between the Squad and Squad MAG?

The main difference is how you change lenses. Standard Squad goggles use a clip-in lens that attaches at the nose bridge, bottom, and sides, offering a secure fit but a more hands-on swap. Squad MAG goggles use magnets and a locking lever instead, so switching lenses takes seconds. Both come with the same wide cylindrical lens shape, ChromaPop™ lenses, and a bonus low-light lens included.
